Project Overview
Starting May 3, the City of East Wenatchee will begin construction on 10th Street NE from Eastmont Ave to Kansas Ave. The City will be adding sidewalks, illumination, bike lanes, parking and repaving the roadway. Utility upgrades include upgrading the stormwater system, replacing aging irrigation lines and water line upgrades through partnerships with Greater Wenatchee Irrigation District and the East Wenatchee Water District. Construction is expected to be completed by late fall 2021.

September 15-16: Detour Information
Eastmont Avenue’s northbound lane will be moved to the center lane, between 9th street NE and 11th Street NE. Please follow the detour signs and remember to slow down while driving through construction zones.
September 8: Detour Information
Eastmont Avenue will only be closed between 9th Street NE and 11th Street NE on September 8, from 6:00am to 8:00pm. Vehicles will be detoured up to Grover Ave, but we are also encouraging drivers to utilize Sunset Highway or other alternative routes to avoid the congested areas during peak traffic times.
June 14-21: Detour Information
Local Access only on 10th Street, between Eastmont to Iowa and Jennifer to 8th Street.
Local Access only on Grover, between 8th Street NE and 10th Street.
May 17-21: Detour Information
Local access only on 10th Street, between Eastmont to Grover and Grover to above Iowa.
The intersection at N Grover and 10th Street will be open to traffic crossing 10th Street, the intersection at 10 Street and Iowa will be closed to through traffic.
