Proposed Amendments to the zoning code regarding pool fencing requirements and accessory dwelling unit requirements.
Notice is hereby given that the City of East Wenatchee intends to adopt amendments to the East Wenatchee Development Regulations. The proposed amendments were transmitted to the Washington State Department of Commerce on September 29, 2023, in accordance with RCW 36.70A.106.
Amendments and Supporting Documents
The 60-day state agency comment period commenced on October 9, 2023 and is set to conclude on December 8, 2023.
Note: The City has requested expedited review per RCW 36.70A.106(b). Should the state grant expedited review, the 60-day state agency comment period will end and the City will schedule a public hearing before the East Wenatchee Planning Commission.
The City has issued a State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) in accordance with WAC 197-11-340(2) on October 6, 2023. Comments on the SEPA determination must be submitted by October 20, 2023.
Proposed amendments will be considered at a public hearing during the East Wenatchee Planning Commission's meeting on December 13, 2023. Comments on the proposed revisions need to be submitted by emailing the Community Development Department, or mailed to:
